WHAT THIS COURSE COVERS

The RYA Marine Radio Short Range Certificate (SRC) is the minimum qualification required by law to operate VHF and VHF DSC radio equipment on any British-flagged vessel. Run from our RYA Training Centre in Weymouth, the course is available either online or in the classroom, with the exam always held in person. It covers everything you need to communicate clearly and safely on the water, including how to raise the alarm in an emergency.

Choose the classroom course for instructor-led training with hands-on practice using the radio, or the online e-learning course to work through the RYA modules at your own pace. Both lead to the same RYA SRC qualification, and online students arrange their exam with us at a time that suits us both.

HOW TO BOOK AN ONLINE COURSE

Our RYA VHF Radio SRC online course is delivered as e-learning modules, which you can complete at your own leisure or in one go. Once you've finished, you simply arrange your exam with us in Weymouth at a mutual convenient time. Our online course gives you the flexibility to learn and review in your own time.
